Dynamic shear modulus of DMDCS-sand is higher than degraded DMDCS-sand, however, dynamic shear modulus of TO-sand is less than degraded TO-sand. As shown in Fig. 1 (b), shear strain exponentially increases with the damping ratio. The outdoor weathering resulted in a negligible change of damping ratio in DMDCS-sand.

Table 1 lists the properties of sea-sand used in existing studies on SSRAC. The sea-sand exhibits a fineness modulus ranging from 1.58 to 3.00. It is characterized by a smoother surface and smaller particle size compared to river sand. The seashell content is higher than that of river sand but falls below the specification limit of 3%.
